Corridor mapping required for proposed NLX passenger rail line

A low flying helicopter will be seen along BNSF Railway tracks starting Thursday, April 12, weather permitting. Within about a week, the helicopter will conduct an aerial survey of 155 miles of track between Minneapolis and Duluth. The work is required by the Federal Railroad Administration for the proposed Northern Lights Express passenger rail project. The project is currently in the concept engineering and environmental documentation phase.
